The Willamette Valley Section of the Society of Women Engineers and Oregon State University College of Engineering are sponsoring the 11th annual Willamette Valley Engineers Week banquet. For over 50 years, Engineers Week has helped to promote awareness of the engineering profession and to encourage young people to consider a career in engineering. In celebration of this event, we invite you, your colleagues, and your guests to attend this banquet.
 | We are pleased to announce that Tim Leatherman, 1970 OSU graduate, and founder, and former chairman and chief executive of Leatherman Tool Group, Inc., will be this year's keynote speaker. Leatherman designed the original multi-purpose tool and developed his idea into a highly successful business. His company is based in Portland, Oregon, and has grown to over 500 employees since 1983. There are now several models of Leatherman Tools that are sold in over 8000 stores in the US and over 90 countries worldwide. In development of his company, he has had over 10 consecutive years with gross sales increases of 50 percent or more. Mr. Leatherman is a holder of many patents. | The banquet will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center on the Oregon State University Campus in Corvallis, Oregon. There will be a networking hour starting at 5:00 p.m. with a cash bar available. We hope that you can join us to celebrate the many contributions made by engineers to our community.
Registration is now closed. If you need more information regarding the banquet, email Jenny Shih or call (541) 250-0037.
